I snapped this picture on my way to work this morning at 6:45 AM.
These are morons who think it's a good idea to stand in line to give away money in order to own something they've never even seen before. These are nerds who are so obsessed with technology that they waited in line overnight in front of this AT&T store on Las Posas Ave. in San Marcos, CA to satisfy their meaningless Egoic desires to "be the first" to have the new Apple iPhone, even though they could still get it at Noon on the same day without waiting in line at all. It's not like they're gonna run out of iPhones, people! This isn't Russia!
Did you spot the guy with the baby? (Close to the end of the line, sitting in a chair.) Luckily, there's a Starbucks nearby, or these people may not have made it through the night.
As cool as I'm sure the new iPhone is, this is ridiculous. I've never understood it: why do you imbeciles like standing in line so damned much? You're the same people that keep theme parks in business because you're willing to stand in line for up to four hours at a time, and up to 12 times a day - not really in order to actually ride the big new roller-coaster - but, more importantly, so you can tell everybody that you were one of the first to ride the big new roller-coaster!
Why don't you just wear a T-shirt that says, "Trust me, I'm an idiot!"? Lines suck.
